9 out of 10 homes we visit have had their fruit trees pruned improperly. All success with fruit trees has to do with increasing energy flow from the roots to the apical tip of the tree. Pruning incorrectly drastically reduces energy flow and causes your trees to get sick, have dieback, and to stop producing fruit. Corrective pruning will reset the tree's energy flow and major positive changes will be seen almost immediately.

Let's get real, there is absolutely no reason to spray pesticides on your trees. Pesticides are poison and lead to a host of health problems, including cancer. Pesticides destroy everything they come into contact with including all beneficial insects, bees, birds, butterflies, and lizards. Then they slowly make their way to the ocean. Organic spray treatments of neem oil and the proper pruning of your fruit trees is all you need to deal with your bug problem, and we have you covered!

Spraying your trees with copper fungicide three times in the month of January during dormancy will protect them from fungal diseases in the summer. Have us out to do the work for you!

Most trees in San Diego are micronutrient deficient due to terrible city water and poor soil composition. RAPID RESPONSE is a high nitrogen liquid organic fertilizer packed with a full line of micronutrients, kelp, humic acid, and beneficial fungi and bacteria. Results can be seen in as little as 48 hours on sick and dying plants. A six-week treatment is recommended and can be provided weekly, or homeowner can take over after first treatment. Can be applied monthly thereafter.

Mycorrhizal fungi travels down to the existing root system of tree, attaching itself to roots, stimulating huge amounts of new white feeder roots that are able to uptake an increase of nutrients very well, thereby enhancing the vitality of the plant. We apply this to the base of your trees, and you will see an increase in the trees health and productivity. 

Over time soil loses its “life” as it breaks down and key nutrients are used up by the tree. Soil refresh adds several highly nutrient dense soil conditioners and meal fertilizers that will revitalize your tree and allow a biodiverse and highly active soil structure which is vital for long-term health of the tree. Soil refresh is to be performed every 3 months for optimal benefit.

Cost of Soil Refresh is $60 per bag. 

Helps with soil retention and allows nutrients to go directly to the root zone. Retaining walls are built to a height of 36 inches or less and include a footing, 1 ft of gravel, and all drainage parameters.

Nalani hosts adult group classes in your backyard space tailored to what skills or topics your group would like to learn! She can discuss all aspects of tree and plant care, including nutrition, diagnosis of bugs and diseases, soil amendment, fertilization, pruning skills, and any other topics that are relevant to your orchard or garden questions. This is a hands-on class and an excellent way to split the cost of learning with your friends and family. (1 hour)
